2. Setup in Steel Projects PLM
For an overview, see Steel Projects PLM Integration.
1. On the Fabrication Job data tab, click Import.
2. Next to Link, enter a work order name and click New.
3. From the Type drop-down, select FabSuite - Nest request import.
4. Select the directory where Tekla PowerFab exports the nest request.
5. Click Save, then Quit.
6. Click Import again.
7. For Link, enter a name for the cut list import, then click New.
8. For Type select FabSuite - Plugin - Cut list, then click Options.
9. Open your Tekla PowerFab Remote Monitor and click Settings.
You need the IP Address and Socket Port for the next step.
10. Back in PLM, in the Options dialog box, enter "tcp://" then the IP address followed by a colon ":" and then the port found in the previous step. Enter your remote user login and password from Tekla PowerFab.
11. Click Check to verify the connection.
12. Select the Jobs and pces tab. Check Show only valid cut lists and Show only shared cut lists.
The other settings are optional depending on your workflow.
13. Click OK, then Save and Quit.
14. Go to the Nesting data tab, then click Stock Import.
15. For Link, add the stock import and click New.
16. For Type select FabSuite - Plugin - Inventory, then click Options.
17. Enter the same URL, Login, and Password as in the step above, then click Check to verify the connection.
Options on the Parameter tab depend on your workflow.
Check with Steel Projects support if you have any questions.
18. Click OK when done.
19. Click Save and Quit.
20. Select the Feedback data tab and click Export.
21. For Link, enter a name for the feedback export and click New.
22. For Type, select FabSuite - Plugin - 4D, and select an export directory.
23. Click Options.
24. On the Options Connection tab, enter the same URL, remote user, and password as in the previous steps.
25. Click OK.
26. Save and Quit.
