Complete work packages

Once all assemblies in the work package are considered complete, the Work Package Status is automatically updated to Completed: Yes. You can also complete one or more work packages manually.

Assemblies within the work package that have a route assigned to them are deemed complete once they have a production tracking record for the Dashboard Productivity Station station that is nominated for the assigned route. See Manage routes.

The following cases are exluded from this logic:

  • Assemblies that have a route assigned but the Production Productivity station nominated for the assigned route is set to [None]
  • Assemblies within the work package that do not have a route assigned

Once all the assemblies in the work package are considered complete, Work Package Statusis automatically updated to Completed: Yes.

Once assemblies and parts in the work package have passed through fabrication, production managers managers can also manually complete one or more work packages at a time. This may be used when production tracking is not being applied.

Complete work packages manually

  1. Do either of the following:
    • In the Work Packages dialog, select one or more work package that you wish to complete.
    • Open a work package.
  2. On the Work Packages/Work Package ribbon tab, select Complete Work Package (Manually) or Complete Selected Work Packages (Manually).

You are prompted to save the work package as complete.

  3. Click Yes.

In Work Packages, the Due Date color indicates the success:

Green: The work package was completed.

Red: The work package was not completed or the due date is in the past.

Yellow: The work package was not compeleted or the due date is the current date.

If you want to remove the completion, select Uncomplete Selected Work Packages (Manually)/Remove manual completion on the Work Packages/Work Package ribbon tab.
