Take material from stock and return material to stock

To take materials from stock and cut them, use the TFS command. Then, use the RTS command to return the remaining lengths to stock.

The take-from-stock (TFS) tool in Inventory consumes the selected material and charges it to the selected job.

This transaction occurs automatically when cut lists are processed in the shop. However, there are several scenarios in which material may need to be consumed and charged manually. Such scenarious include plates, flat bars, and angles that are used to produce fittings, bolts sent to site, materials used for internal projects, and returned drops that end up being scrapped.
