CATALOG NAME: Pourstop-Partial
TYPE: DETAIL

This Custom Component is design to be used when your model includes pourstops (that are created using the Polybeam command) and you want to show these pourstops in Plan drawings as partial profiles.

If you have a polybeam pourstop in a plan drawing and you set the Part representation to Symbol with partial profile the resulting part representation is not what you desire because the reference line of a polybeam is along the 3 points used to create it. If you use this custom component, a phantom part will be created that inherits the profile of the part it is attached to. You can control the length of the profile, the class, and move it in either direction along the pourstop.

Be careful when moving this phantom part along the pourstop if the pourstop is shop attached and you have set Attached or Loose? to Attached. Since this phantom part becomes apart of the assembly when attached, it will affect numbering. Either move the phantom parts on all alike assemblies or don't move any, to make sure alike assemblies get the same Assembly mark.

Attached or Loose?

This option should be used to match to condition of polybeam pourstop. If the polybeam pourstop is attached in the field, then this setting should be Loose. If it is attached in the shop, then this setting should be Attached. If this setting doesn't match the condition of the polybeam pourstop, then the drawing settings provided (see section below) will not work as intended.

Flip Partial

This option will be needed if the direction of the vertical leg is downwards as shown here. Change this to Yes and the vertical leg direction will change to upwards.

In the User-defined attributes of the phantom part, it is set to Existing (so it won't be shown in Reports or used in Drawing Wizards).
