CATALOG NAME: Embed Angle (Edge) ; Embed Angle (Inside)
TYPE: PART
These Custom Components create angles with headed studs for embedding in concrete. There are several options for the stud configuration.
The main picture tab allows for control for the start and end of the angle profile from the handle locations in the model. There are also controls for the distance to the stud from the end, and the spacing. Different fields will be available depending on the stud orientation.
Below each spacing field is the option to switch between Max or Exact spacing of the studs. If Exact is chosen, the distance to the first and last stud becomes a ’minimum’ distance that will change depending on the spacing value.
If Max is chosen, then the distance to the first and last stud is set, and the remaining studs will be equally spaced, not exceeding the max value.
The drop down on the left of the picture tab sets the stud orientation. If an option is chosen that allows for the gage of a stud, the dimension field will become available for this.
Embed Angle (Inside)
For the embed meant for an inside corner, you may have to change the Rotation value on the Position tab to orient it properly in the corner – because it is a Custom Part type component, it does not automatically follow the wall.
The On plane and At depth values must be modified to embed the angle into the wall. The value needs to be the thickness of the angle leg to be flush face, and the value could be negative/positive depending on the position in the model.
