UnifyBoltHoles
This application creates bolt holes between parts to make parts identical. Creating less differently numbered parts in the model. This tool supports Beams, PolyBeams, and Plates.

Input

Select model objects you want the bolts holes to unify, either by single picking or by area selection. In order for bolt holes to be created, the two parts must be identical. Identical parts are parts that have the same profile, length, and geometry. Choose settings you want in the dialog and press "Copy".

Compare identical parts: Determines how the two parts are compared and determined if they are identical.

  • Check geometry - Checks the entire part geometry(shape, holes...)
  • Check only profile and length - Checks only profile and length, ignores the part geometry. Makes the comparing faster.

Copy bolt holes only: Determines if you want to copy only bolt holes or entire bolts.

  • Yes - Creates only bolt holes.
  • No - Copies entire bolts.

Combine: Combines two bolts into one, if the bolts are closer to each other than the defined value.

  • No - Does not combine the bolt holes.
  • Yes - Combines bolt holes that are closer than the defined value. Creates a new one bolt hole in the middle position of two combined bolt holes.
  • Do not create bolt - Does not create bolt holes that are in conflict with other bolt holes, that are closer than the defined value.

Flag Modified by this tool: Writes a flag (CS_UNIFY) to the determined user-defined attributes. Used so the user can easily determine which bolts were created by this tool.
