| Option | Description | Default | Other |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sleeve (Default, None, Sleeve) | This allows the user to select if the connection has a sleeve or not. A sleeve can be selected to allow for future extensions at gable ends. If Default is set then a sleeve will only be applied on butt connections with the same size purlins. | The default is set to Default. | |
| Force Sleeve Holes (No, Yes) | This allows the user to force holes to be placed in the purlins corresponding to the sleeve hole positions when there is no sleeve. This will be done only if this option is set to Yes, otherwise when set to No these holes will be omitted. | The default is set to No. | |
| Force Stay Holes (No, Yes) | This allows the user to force holes to be placed in the purlins corresponding to the stay hole positions when there are no stays. This will be done only if this option is set to Yes, otherwise when set to No these holes will be omitted. | The default is set to No. | |
| Overhang dim. Gables only | This specifies the overhang dimension for a gable end only. The dimension is measured from the centre of the cleat. | Where a sleeve is defined the purlin will be cut back to the standard manufacturer's end gap and the sleeve will be positioned to the overhang. Otherwise the purlin will be extended to the overhang point. | Image
|
| Cleat length | This defines the full length of the cleat. For standard or non-standard cleats, it need only be given where the length is not to be the same as that derived from the standard hole positions. For a connection to a stanchion web, the cleat may be automatically extended to preserve the top end distance for the holes. Some cleats, e.g. angles, cannot be extended in this way, and so an alternative cleat must be used by specifying the cleat profile in the parts tab. | This value will come from the data files. | Image
|
| Bolt on Cleat Centre | This centres between the two bolts in the bolt on plate in mm. If centres are zero one bolt will be placed in the plate. | This value will come from the data files. | Image
|
| Bolt on Cleat Backmark | This sets the distance from the front of the cleat in mm. | This value will come from the data files. | |
| Finish | This specifies the finish of the cleat. | The default is empty. | |
| Standard Bolts to Purlin | This defines the standard of all bolts that pass through the purlins in the joint. Available standards are defined in the bolt assembly database. This standard also applies to all bolts to the rafter providing the standard of these bolts is not explicitly set by the following parameter and to the bottom stay bolts if a bolt standard is not specified in the stay data file. | The default setting is 8.8XOX. | |
| Standard Bolts to Rafter | This defines the standard of all bolts that pass through the rafter in the joint. Available standards are defined in the bolt assembly database. | The default setting is 8.8XOX. | |
| Cleats are (Bolted, Welded, Workshop Bolts) | This specifies whether the cleat is welded or bolted to the rafter. If the cleat profile is not explicitly given in the parts dialogue the standard profile will be used from the data files. | The default is set to Welded. |
