Use the Parameters tab in the Thomas Panels and Profiles Cold Rolled Cleat Properties panel to control how the connecting members are defined within Tekla Structures.

| Free dist Primary to L Profile | This is used to specify the clearance between the cleats defined in the joint and the primary member. | If no value is entered here then the clearance will default to 0. | Image

| Secondary member cut back | This determines the position to which the end of the secondary members are fitted, measured from the extremities of the primary member. | For I-sections, if no value is entered here then the clearance will default to 5mm from the web of the primary member. For channels, if no value is entered here then the clearance will default to 5mm from the nearest face. | |||||||
| Place Cleats on (Outside, Inside, Both) | This specifies the positions where cleats are to be applied. The position is determined relative to the first secondary that is picked, looking along the secondary and into the joint. | The default is set to Outside. |

| Cleat Finish | This specifies the finish of the cleat. | The default setting is Empty. |
