Built-up Star Column (Custom Part)

The 'Built-up Star Column' custom part allows user to create the star column from plate / sections.

How to Locate

Installers are available at Built-up Custom Parts
After installation, the ‘Built-up Star Column’ custom part is available in the component catalog group 'Builtup Custom Parts'.
 

Usage

The user has to pick the position and the star column will be created.

Parameter - Types

Star Section Types

Available Types	Description
Image	Creates Star Column with Rolled Sections
Image	Creates Star Column with Plates
Image	Creates Star Column with Rolled Section and Plates

Parameters - Star Column with Rolled Sections

  

Symmetrical

Available Options	Decsription
Centered	Secton is create from picked point as center of section
Off-Centered	Secton is create with offsets from picked point as center of section

Parameters - Plate Prefix
All available plate profile prefixes are displayed.
Required prefix can be selected. (e.g. PL, FL, PLT )

Parts - Star Column with Rolled Sections

  

You can enter part properties in this tab page. Numbering properties and Name can be entered for all parts seperately.
You have an option to enter same values for Material / Finish / Class or different values by selecting Same /  different from dropdown at top.

You can also provide Assembly User defined attributes from this page.

Symmetrical

Available Options	Decsription
Centered	Secton is create from picked point as center of section
Off-Centered	Secton is create with offsets from picked point as center of section

Flange Size Options

Available Options	Decsription
Different	Difference thicknesses for all flange plates are possible.
Top and Bottom	Top and Bottom flange plates are same thickness and Left and Right flange plates can have different thickeness
Left and Right	Left and Right flange plates are same thickness and Top and Bottom flange plates can have different thickeness
All Flanges	All flanges have same thickness

Web Thickness Options

Available Options	Decsription
Different	Difference thicknesses for all web plates are possible.
Left and Right	Left and Right horizontal web plates can have same thickness
All Webs	All web plates have same thickness
