Sequence Tool (ML013)
Macro Sequence Tool (ML013) can be used to assign user-defined attributes (UDA) to parts. These user attributes can be used to uniquely number (foundation) piles, define assembly sequences of assemblies, or classify loads by assigning group numbers.
Use for
Writing unique (Control) numbers into user-defined attributes. Commonly used for:
- Unique numbering of foundation piles (Engineering).
- Setting the assembly sequence
- Classification of loads
The UDA numbers can be assigned and changed manually, but also based on a "snake" profile which describes the assembly pattern.
The Sequence Tool also has an Animation function, to visually view and control the set sequences.

The general roadmap for assigning UDA Sequence/Control numbers:
- Select parts or assemblies in model and press Add selected button (3). Depending on the selection, Parts (code P) or Assemblies (code A) are added.
Image
- Press Re-Order button (3). Now the Order (1) column is filled with consecutive numbers.
Image
- Finally press the Write to UDA (3) button and the order numbers are written into the User attributes of the selected parts, in field Control number (ACN).

Adding profiles can be done in 3 ways:
- Add selected (3) - First select a number of parts and then click the button. The items are added, the order of adding is determined by the setting of the +/- X, Y and Z buttons
- Pick parts (3) - Use this button and then designate multiple parts. Exit with middle mouse button (the order of clicking is maintained)
- Pick Snakes (3) - Uses a pre-modeled auxiliary profile to add profiles. The auxiliary profile (the "snake") can be, for example, a poly profile rod and must clash with the profiles to be added
Adding Snake Profile
- To use this option, an additional profile must be placed in the model. Usually the poly profile is used as "Snake profile". All parts that are to be selected by the snake profile must touch/ collide with the snake profile. Example:
Image
No preselection
- If no parts or assemblies are selected beforehand, a message will appear after pressing the Pick snakes (3) button that no objects are selected and user is asked if whole model should be checked for clashes with snakes
Pre-selection
- Select the parts/assemblies to be added in the Sequence Tool
- Click on Pick snakes (3) button
- Select the snake profile
- Finish with the middle mouse button
- The selected parts/assemblies will be added in the Sequence Tool
Rearranging Sequence
All added parts or assemblies initially have Sequence number 0. Sequence numbers can be assigned using the Re-Order (3) button.
With the fields Startnr. (1) and Interval (1), the start number and (intermediate) steps can be set. Default settings for both fields is 1.
Rearranging Sequence Numbers
To change the Sequence numbers afterwards, select the lines to be rearranged (1), set the Startnr. and Interval (2) fields and click Re-Order (3) button. There can be set which objects to reorder: All, Only 0's or Only selected (4). The objects are rearranged (5).
Changing the sequence manually
The sequence can also be changed manually. Select the line(s) to be moved. The number of lines to be moved can be set editing the Lines (3) field. Click Move Up (3) or Move Down (3) to move the lines. Then click Re-Order (3) to adjust the sequence numbers to the new arrangement. There can be set which objects to reorder: All, Only 0's or Only selected.
Writing sequence numbers
Sequence numbers can be written in User attributes. In the default setting, numbers are written in field Control Number (ACN) in the User attributes. Also other User attribute can be defined by user.
Sequence animation
The Sequence numbers set can be played back via an animation. To play the sequence, click on the Animate (3) button. For settings of the animation see Settings tab. Also, Animation order, or Animation group can be selected.
Truck - loads tab
In the Truck - loads tab, the parts can be grouped together, for example, to create a cargo layout.
| Option | Description | |

| 2 |
The group data can be written to an XML file. A previously saved XML file with groups can also be opened. When parts and groups are checked, two XML files are created: one with the parts and one with the groups. |

In this box, user can enter the settings/conditions for the groups/cargoes here. These values are then entered in Groups tab when groups are added. If parts or assemblies are added to a group that are not within the conditions, the corresponding condition of the group will turn red. Examples: Max weight (kg) - You can specify a maximum weight for a group/cargo. When dividing into loads, a new group/load will be created automatically when the maximum weight is reached Max length (m) - If there are bars added to a group that exceed the specified max length, the cell Max Length will turn red |
