Reporting (ML112) generates a saw list of your entire project in Tekla Structures. When there is no automated saw, this sawing list can be used to saw all parts manually. In case of an automated saw, this list can also be used as a checklist.

The tool Codes to profiles (ML052) is used in combination with Reporting (ML112). Before using Reporting (ML112), all profiled parts must be coded with Codes to profiles (ML052), which can be downloaded from Tekla Warehouse.

Used for

Creates a complete saw list of the total project.

Before you start

Make sure that the project is finished before you use Reporting (ML112).

Selection order

  1. Make sure the project is finished before using Reporting (ML112).

Report and parameters tab

The Report and parameters tab consists of 2 parts. A part on the left side where you can turn parameters on and off. On the bottom side you can click on the buttons to determine which saw list you want to generate.

Parameters:
Specify which parameters should be enabled when generating the saw list. These settings are not remembered when saving the setting.

OptionDescription
Show coverA front sheet for the saw list.
Show beamsDisplay studs (column) and beams in the list.
Show sheetsDisplay sheets in the saw list.
Supress detail rows assembly reportWhen generating a saw list per element, the detail lines are hidden. Only the total meters are displayed.
Supress detail rows totals reportWhen generating totals, the detail lines are hidden. Only the total meters and cubic meters are displayed.
Sort length descendingSort the parts by length with the longest length at the top and the shortest length at the bottom.
Group on zoneGroup all parts by zone. The zone is shown in the list with all the items that have this zone below it.
Extra header textOn every page, except the cover page, a text is placed above the saw list.
Extra cover textAn additional text is placed in the middle of the cover page.

Create report:
Specify which list is to be generated.

OptionDescription
Saw listBy default, the saw list is generated with Saw list. If you have chosen Saw list per assembly and you want to go back to the default, click on Saw list.
Saw list per assembly A saw list is created for each element on a new page. At the top of the page, the assembly number and number are displayed in a green highlighted line.
ProfileDisplays all profiles that contain a profile code. The profile code is generated with Codes to profiles (ML052).
TotalsGenerates a total sawing list and also indicates the number of cubic meters.
Front coverGenerates only a front cover.
Load partsThe selected parts in the model are loaded into the saw list.
Create drawingsGenerate drawings of profiled parts.
Write codesThis is only possible if on the tab Settings > Common > Part coding, Write back beam code, Write back beam dimensions, Write back sheet code and/or Write back sheet dimension are checked.

Settings tab

In the Settings tab, you can use additional settings regarding the output of the saw list.

Drawings tab

On the Drawings tab you can set the layout of the drawings. This is divided into groups.

In the Common group, we do not recommend changing anything. These are settings that can only be changed for highly specialized printers.

Head group:

OptionDescription
Hide head drawingsHide the header drawings.
Head drawings height topTop of the upper drawing.
Head drawings height bottomBottom of the lower drawing.
Head drawings widthMaximum width of the drawing.
Head drawings max angleThe maximum value measured.
Example
If Max. value of angle measurement is set to 90°, heads with 90° angle will not be measured but heads with 89° angle will be measured.
If 360° is set, all angles are measured.
Disable equal scalingProportions of the image at the top and bottom are equal to each other. If you turn equal scaling off, you can turn it off and get different proportions of the images.
Head single angleCorners that occur more than once are measured in one place. If this angle appears again in the drawing, it is skipped.
Top row image

Specify the rotation of the top view image. The options are:

● Top

● Front

● Bottom

● Back

Sheet group:

OptionDescription
Hide sheet drawings Hide the sheet drawings.
Sheet drawing heightHeight top drawing.
Sheet drawing widthMaximum width of the drawing.
Sheet drawing max angleThe maximum value measured.
Example
If Max. value of angle measurement is set to 90°, heads with 90° angle will not be measured but heads with 89° angle will be measured.
If 360° is set, all angles are measured.
Sheet single angleCorners that occur more than once are measured in one place. If this angle appears again in the drawing, it is skipped.
Sheet side methodWith this method Reporting (ML112) determines the inner and outer side of the plate on the basis of the position of the plate in relation to the element. This is up to 90% reliable.
With the most recent versions of the Construsoft Walls and Roofs component, this functionality is no longer applicable. The Z-direction of the slab always points to the outside.
Sheet side direction

Specify the direction of the plate side. The options are:

  • Outside
  • Inside

Profile group:

OptionDescription
Hide profile drawings Hide the profile drawings.
Profile drawing heightHeight top drawing.
Profile drawing widthMaximum width of the drawing.
Profile drawing max angleThe maximum value measured.
Example
If Max. value of angle measurement is set to 90°, heads with 90° angle will not be measured but heads with 89° angle will be measured.
If 360° is set, all angles are measured.
Profile single angleCorners that occur more than once are measured in one place. If this angle appears again in the drawing, it is skipped.

Orientation group:

OptionDescription
Flip Z-axis on

Option to flip the orientation. The options are:

None: sheets are not flipped.

● Zone < 0:  everything smaller than zone 0 (negative value) is flipped.

● Zone > 0: everything bigger than zone 0 (negative value) is flipped.

Filtering tab

In the Filter tab, set filters for parts that are NOT to be generated in the saw list. Use a ; (dot comma) as the separator.

OptionDescription
Show coverA front sheet for the saw list.
Show beamsDisplay studs (column) and beams in the list.
Show sheetsDisplay sheets in the saw list.
Supress detail rows totals reportWhen generating totals, the detail lines are hidden. Only the total meters and cubic meters are displayed.
Supress detail rows assembly reportWhen generating a saw list per element, the detail lines are hidden. Only the total meters are displayed.
Include subtotals in cutting list

When a saw list is generated, a subtotal is displayed.

Example:

New page before materialA new material is placed on another sheet. In this way, a distinction can be made between different materials.
Group on zone    Group all parts by zone. The zone is shown in the list with all the items that have this zone below it.
Sort length descendingSort the parts by length with the longest length at the top and the shortest length at the bottom.
Correct assembly countThis only applies to Saw list per element and displays the numbers per element. Not the total number of elements in the selection.

Cover tab

In the Cover tab, you can add 10 UDAs, a company name and logo to the saw list.

UDA 1,2,3,..

In the Field value drop-down list, select a UDA to be placed on the front page of the saw list. At Report label you indicate how this should be noted on the list. The UDAs are the user-defined attributes of the Project properties. You can fill these in via File > Project properties > User-defined attributes.
