Installing Part presentation mark

To install the extension:

  1. Download the Part presentation mark installer package from Tekla Warehouse. For more information see Downloading an application from Tekla Warehouse.
  2. Install the file package.

Using Part presentation mark

To use the application:

  1. Open a Tekla model that has a drawing.
  2. Click the Applications & components button

    in the side pane to open the Applications & components catalog.
  3. Open a drawing.
  4. Search for Part presentation mark

    and then double-click to open it.
  5. The Part presentation mark dialog window will open.

  1. Click on the Add row button to add a new row in the table presented in the Part attribute filter.

  1. Make the desired modification (if needed).

  1. Click the Create button to create symbols. For parts which meet the part attribute filter the symbol will be created in the center of the part.

Application properties

Part attribute filter

Field Description Default
User defined attribute Define the UDA's, general attributes.
All variables that don't have the prefix UDA are from the attributes tab page of the part property dialog (form which you can set the main characteristics of a beam) and the rest are from of the User Defined Attribute catalog.
The user can manually type in UDA names which are not listed in the catalog. However, these will not be added to the catalog, but can be saved and loaded using the Save/Load buttons.

Search

Field Description Default
Search Define for which option run the tool.
The options are:
  • Entire drawing - Run the tool for the whole drawing;
  • Selected objects - Run the tool for selected symbols.

Application buttons

Property Description
Create After making all the desired modifications and selecting the object, click the Create button to create the symbol.
Delete All Use to delete all the created symbols.
Delete using filler Use to delete only filtered symbols (the ones that have the same attribute as the one in the Matching value field).
Cancel Use to exit the program.
