Use the Parameters tab in the Metsec Cold Rolled Cleat Properties panel to control how the connecting members are defined within Tekla Structures.

Free dist Primary to L ProfileThis is used to specify the clearance between the cleats defined in the joint and the primary member.If no value is entered here then the clearance will default to 0.

Secondary member cut backThis determines the position to which the end of the secondary members are fitted, measured from the extremities of the primary member.For I-sections, if no value is entered here then the clearance will default to 5mm from the web of the primary member.

For channels, if no value is entered here then the clearance will default to a point approx half way along the flange.
 
Place Cleats on
(Left, Right, Both)
This specifies the positions where cleats are to be applied. The position is determined relative to the first secondary that is picked, looking along the secondary and into the joint.The default is set to Left.

Cleat Finish
(Default, Black)
This specifies the finish of the cleat. If set to default a galvanised finish will be used.The default is set to Default.
