Use the Parameters tab in the Metsec Base Plate Properties panel to control how the autoform/cleats are defined within Tekla Structures.

| Place Cleats on (Left, Right, Both) | This specifies the positions where cleats are to be applied. The position is determined relative to the member picked, looking along the member onto the selected point. The following choices are available. | The default is set to Left. |

| Clearance | This sets the clearance required between the bottom of the cleats and the end of the selected member. | The default setting is 40mm. | Image

| Define with (Holes, Bolts) | This determines whether holes or bolts should be placed in the legs of the cleats forming the base. | The default is set to Holes. |

| Number of bolts up column | This specifies the number of bolts to be defined up the column. This is limited to allow only 1 or 2 bolts. | This value will come from the data files. | |||||||
| Pitch for bolts up column | This specifies the distance between each row of bolts placed vertically up the column. | This value will come from the data files. | Image

| EdgeDist bolts to column | This specifies the vertical distance from the bottom of the cleat to the first bolt. | This value will come from the data files. | Image

| EdgeDist bolts to base | This specifies the distance from the back of the cleat to the centre of the bolt in the leg of the cleat which forms the base. | This value will come from the data files. | Image

| Horizontal bolt pitch | This specifies the horizontal distance between the bolts placed in the cleats. | This value will come from the data files. | Image

| Standard bolts to column | This sets the grade for all the bolts going to the selected member. If countersunk bolts are selected the cleats may be offset by a small amount and packing plates may be added where necessary. | The default setting is 8.8XOX. | |||||||
| Standard bolts to base | This sets the grade for all the bolts going to the base of the cleats in the detail. | The default setting is 8.8XOX. |
