OptionDescriptionDefaultOther
Ties along the bayThis specifies the number of struts to place along the bay, dividing the bay equally. The bay is defined by the two rafters. If left empty the number in the bay is calculated from the bay size and roof slope. In some situations this can cause the macro to be applied however no restraints will be created, locate the macro symbol and enter a number in this field to define your chosen number of restraints. This value will come from the data files.
Tie Type
(Default, Tubular, Multilok, SW, SWF)
This specifies the type of connecting member to be used for the anti-sag where the standard manufacturer's is not to be used. If Default is selected an appropriate restraint type will be used for the selected situation. If SW is selected the system is more controlled based on Kingspan rules, hence some fields are no longer editable. The default is set to Default
Place Diagonal Tie Wire atThis sets the position where diagonal tie wires will be added. This is written as a list of bay numbers for example, 1 3 would put diagonal tie wires in the first and third bay (see image). A brace must be placed in the bay that needs a tie wire. The default behaviour is to not place any tie wires.

Start on the
(Left, Right)
This determines which hole of a pair of holes to use for the first restraint, for restraints that alternate between holes. The default is set to Left.
Tie SectionThis specifies the profile to be used for the tie where the standard manufacturer’s is not to be used. This tie, and its associated data must be defined in the data files. The default profile will be determined appropriately from the model data.
Start Condition
(None, Clamp Plate, Counterformed)
This sets the condition which is to be applied to the ties at the start of a run of purlins. If set to None a bolt will be defined in the bottom most purlin. If set to Clamp Plate, a clamp plate will also be placed at the end of the bottom most tie. If set to Counterformed, a counterform screw will be defined at the bottom most tie. The default is set to None.
End Condition
(None, Clamp Plate, Counterformed)
This sets the condition which is to be applied to the ties at the end of a run of purlins. If set to None a bolt will be defined in the top most purlin. If set to Clamp Plate, a clamp plate will also be placed at the end of the top most tie. If set to Counterformed, a counterform screw will be defined at the top most tie.The default is set to None.
Standard CounterformedscrewThis specifies the standard that will be applied to any counterformed screws created by the macro. If this field is left blank then a default of 8.8CSK will be used. The default setting is 8.8CSK
Tie Assembly PrefixThis specifies the prefix for the Assembly Pos Num that will be used for the ties. The default setting is CR.
Tie Assembly Start NumberThis specifies the start number for the Assembly Pos Num that will be used for the tiesThe default setting is 1.
Tie Part PrefixThis specifies the prefix for the Part Pos Num that will be used for the ties. The default setting is MB.
Tie Part Start NumberThis specifies the start number for the Part Pos Num that will be used for the ties. The default setting is 1.
Tie GradeThis is the material grade that will be used for all the ties within the connection. The default value for this is taken from ‘Settings > Options > Components > Part material:’
Clamp Plate PrefixThis specifies the prefix for the Part Pos Num that will be used for the clamp plate. The default setting is MB.
Clamp Plate Start NumberThis specifies the start number for the Part Pos Num that will be used for the clamp plate. The default setting is 1.
Clamp Plate GradeThis is the material grade that will be used for all the clamp plates within the connection. The default value for this is taken from ‘Setings > Options > Components > Part material:’
GroupThis defines the class that all parts will be included in.The default setting is 99.
Adjust Hole Centres
(Default, Zero)
This specifies whether or not to use offset hole positions for the restraints. If set to Default it will use offset holes. The default is set to Default.
Eaves Strut OffsetThis specifies the offset from the standard position for the eaves strut. Positive and negative values can be used. The default setting is 0.
Eaves Beam Strut Cleat
(Vertical - NB1, Horizontal - NB2)
This changes the eaves strut configuration to be used. The default is set to Vertical - NB1.
