Purpose and description

Use Horizontal sub bracing component creates horizontal and/or diagonal bracings between the tower legs and one of the main bracings. Typically used in big towers.

Installing Horizontal sub bracing

To install the extension:

1. Download Transmission tower tools installer package from Tekla Warehouse. For more information see Downloading an application from Tekla Warehouse.
2. Install the file package.

Using Horizontal sub bracing

To use the application:

1. Open a Tekla model.
2. Click the Applications & components button

   in the side pane to open the Applications & components catalog.
3. Search for Horizontal sub bracing  and then double-click to open it.

4. Select the main part.
5. Select the second part.
6. Pick the position.
   The component is then created automatically.

Image	Distance list to describe the positions from the offset point(1) e.g. “3*500” this would be three horizontal bracings and/or two diagonals or “500 400” this would be two horizontal bracings and/or one diagonals.	800

1. Horizontal brace orientation

Option	Description
Image	No brace.
Image	Type 1 - Default The braces are placed so that the shorter leg is connected to the part.
Image	Type 2 The braces are placed so that the longer leg is connected to the part.
Image	Type 3 Same as Type 2 but rotated.
Image	Type 4 Same as Type 1 but rotated.

2. Horizontal braces offset

Image	Define the top offset of the left brace. This option is not visible if No brace option is selected in the Brace orientation list.	0 mm
Image	Define the bottom offset of the left brace. This option is not visible if No brace option is selected in the Brace orientation list.	0 mm

3. Diagonal brace orientation
