Select two points in the model to set the insertion point and direction of the Studwall_3openings. Stud_opening is a sub component to the Studwall_3openings, and no setting are made there. The yellow handle symbolizes the start point and the purple handle the direction and length of the component.

Settings for the Studwall_3openings

  1. Select appropriate height of the Studwall_3openings under the tab Studwall.

  2. Possibility to set the center to center distance between the studs.
  3. Extra studs can be set when necessary in corners.

  4. The gap between the extra stud and the end stud can be set, measured from the outer side of the studs.
  5. Profile of the studs can be set.
  6. The distance between the openings is measured from the outer side of the studs.
  7. When the drop down menu for No. Openings is set to the different options, the picture will adapt and correspond to chosen number of openings and fields affecting the component will appear/disappear.
  8. A component check shows if the number of openings and length of the wall corresponds.

  9. Under the tab Opening 1-3, settings can be made for each opening. Type of opening can be chosen between Window or Door. The picture will adapt and correspond to the chosen options and fields affecting the component will appear/disappear.
  10. Possibility to set the center to center distance between the studs for the opening.
  11. Extra stud can be added on each side of the opening. Distance between the openings is measured from the outer side of the outer stud, if 1 or 2 is selected.
  12. Additional beam can be created over the opening, where position in depth and profile can be set. Observe that the height of the beam fits in the space over the opening, else it will not be created.
  13. Hight of the opening can be set and is measured from inside stud.
  14. Width of the opening can be set and is measured from inside stud.

  15. Under the tab Details there is a possibility to set the number of boards for front (FS) and backside (BS). Maximum is 3 boards.
  16. The thickness of the boards can be set.
  17. The offset can be set if the board should be drawn back (example: 50) or extended (example: -50). This can be set both sideways and to top and bottom.
  18. If the drop down menu for Insulation is set to Yes, insulation will be created with the width of the stud. Other options is No and Special. If Special is selected the edge distance and the thickness of the insulation can be set. The picture will adapt and correspond to the chosen options and fields affecting the component will appear/disappear.

  19. Under the tab Studwall parameters, Name, Material, Class and Prefix with start numbers can be set.

  20. Under the tab Board parameters, Prefix with start numbers can be set and is equal for all boards.
  21. Name, Material and Class can be set for each board separately.
