Use the General tab to define what you would like to do.
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| 1 | Select the folder in which the files are stored you want to rename. |
| 2 | In case you want to rename all files just use "*.*". But in case the folder contains files having different extensions and you only want to rename text files you could fill in here "*.txt". |
| 3 | The prefix you want to add. In case the file name before renaming is "example.txt" and you define a prefix like "1-" the file name will become "1-example.txt". Option cannot be used in combination with point 4. In case you need a postfix as well you have to run the tool twice. Extra option: in case you want to use the Tekla Structures project number as prefix you can fill in here: %project_number%. |
| 4 | The postfix you want to add. In case the file name before renaming is "example.txt" and you define a postfix like "-A" the file name will become "example-A.txt". Option cannot be used in combination with point 3. In case you need a prefix as well you have to run the tool twice. Extra option: in case you want to use the Tekla Structures project number as postfix you can fill in here: %project_number%. |
| 5 | The separator you want to use. In point 3 and 4, - has been used there as an example, but another separator can be defined here as well. |
