Coordinate Mark
This GA drawing application is used to create coordinate marks for any picked point in the drawing view and it reports based on model origin / project base point / base point.
How to locate
After installation, the 'Co-ordinate Mark' application is available in the 'Applications & components' side pane of drawing mode.
Usage
Click the icon in the Applications and Components side pane to activate the command.
Once command is active pick any point in the drawing for which you need to add co-ordinate information and then pick a point where mark is to be placed.
To move around location of the mark, you need to pick handle point of the mark and then move that handle point.
Double clicking the created mark will open properties dialog box for co-ordinate mark.
Note: Set 'XS_MARK_LEADER_LINE_EXTENSION_LENGTH' to an appropriate value for extension line.
Co-Ordinate Mark dialog box:
Text Attribute - Will decide how text in co-ordinate mark will appear and also frame and arrow head.
Always solid filled arrow head - This will over ride settings defined for arrow in text attribute and will create filled arrow.
Prefix - In this text boxes you can define prefix text for each X, Y and Z co-ordinates.
Postfix - In this text boxes you can define postfix text for each X, Y and Z co-ordinates.
Create - This check boxes decide which co-ordinate to be included in mark. This will help you choose any combination of X, Y and Z co ordinate. e.g. you can display only X and Y co-ordinate in the mark or sometimes only Z co-ordinate in mark with different settings.
Multiline - This check box is if checked will create co-ordinate in different lines, and if unchecked it will be created in single line.
Separator - If Multiline option is unchecked , you can enter separator such as space or comma in this text box to be used to separate X, Y and Z co-ordinates.
Units - This will decide in which units co-ordinates are displayed. The precision and format settings are applied from those in 'Dimension Properties' (for time being the values are only read from 'standard' attribute file).
Setting Text Attributes :
Text Attribute can be saved by using Text properties dialog box of Tekla Structures.
Double clicking Text icon above on Drawing ribbon will open Text properties dialog box as below.
In this you can setup properties for Text to be used in co-ordinate mark, such as color, text height, font, alignment, Frame type, frame color, arrow head, arrow size and placing options.
(Note: In Placing options Placing should be 'free' so that co-ordinate mark will not change positions after reopening drawings)
Reporting model point with respect to project base point
For this option, in view properties, 'Location by' attribute need to set with appropriate base point.
