System component Convert profile to plates (m094) can be used to convert profiles to plates. So, in case a certain profile is not available the profile can be created by using plates.

Parameters tab
Tab Parameters can be used to determine how and where conversion should be done. What should be considered to be copied or not.

How to build the new shape. An I-section differs from an RHS-section. |

Filtering of parts, By default, no filter will be used. So the selected part will be converted. |
| 3 | The position of the new plate profile. In case the option is set to Offset, point 4 will become available. |
| 4 | Offset related to the point the profile beam will be created. See point 3. |
| 5 | Pick the position you want to create the plate beam on. |
| 6 | Copy desired values. In case you select Yes for the option Bent plate, the bent radius in point 3 will become available. |

Weld tab
Tab Weld can be used to determine the welds to be used in the plate profile.
UDA tab
Tab UDA can be used to determine which parameters or UDA's should be copied to the plate profile. E.g., part- or assembly position could be handy to know afterwards what the original profile number was.

In case you want to copy the profile, part position or assembly position into the UDA of the created plates. E.g., when you use comment for Profile, in the UDA of the plate the profile will be written. |

In case a UDA is defined in the original part, you can choose to copy that UDA into the converted part. E.g., in the original part, comment has been used and the content is: "test", this text "test" will be copied into the comment of the plates of the converted plate. |
About tab
Information about the "build" date of the tool. This date may differ from the date in the tool you are using, but the content may nevertheless be the same. This date may be required when you contact the helpdesk.
