| Option | Description | Default | Other | ||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Eaves Cleat is (Welded, Bolted) | This specifies whether the eaves beam cleat should be welded to the stanchion or bolted. If the bolted option is chosen then a plate will be added to the fixing bracket in order to allow a bolted connection to the stanchion. Otherwise the fixing bracket will be welded directly to the stanchion. | The default is set to Welded. | |||||
| Edge Gap Two secondaries | If two eaves beams are selected in the application of the joint then this value specifies the edge distance that should be maintained between the end of the eaves beams and the centre of the fixing bracket. | The default setting cuts each eaves beam back 5mm from the center line. | Image

| ||||
| Free Dist Eaves Beam to Cleat | This allows extra clearance to be applied between the fixing bracket and the eaves beams in the joint. This will be applied in addition to the default clearance. If no value is specified then no extra clearance will be applied. | The default setting is 0. | Image
| ||||
| Vert Offset Connecting Profile | This specifies the vertical position of the connecting profile relative to the eaves beam plate. | By default the connecting profile will be positioned to align with the top of the eaves beam plate. | Image
| ||||
| Vert. Offset StanchionPlate | This specifies the vertical position of the Stanchion plate for the bolted connection relative to the eaves beam plate. | By default the stanchion plate will be positioned to align with the top of the eaves beam plate. | Image
| ||||
| Vert. Offset Eaves Stiffener | This specifies the vertical position of the eaves stiffener relative to its standard location. This is useful if you change the stiffener profile to a flat plate on the Parts tab. | The default setting is 0. | |||||
| Cleat length | This defines the full length of the cleat. For standard or non-standard cleats, it need only be given where the length is not to be the same as that derived from the standard hole positions. For a connection to a stanchion web, the cleat may be automatically extended to preserve the top end distance for the holes. Some cleats, e.g. angles, cannot be extended in this way, and so an alternative cleat must be used by specifying the cleat profile in the parts tab. | This value will come from the data files. | Image
| ||||
| Connecting profile to (Right, Left) | This specifies which side to attach the connecting profile. The side is taken looking along the profile from the stanchion to the eaves beams. | The default is set to Right. |
| ||||
| Flip Connecting Member (No, Yes) | This turns the connecting member upside down. | The default is set to No. | |||||
| Overhang dim. Gables only | This specifies the overhang dimension for a gable end only. The dimension is measured from the centre of the cleat. | The default setting is 0. | Image
| ||||
| Orientation Hole (None, Left, Right, Both) | This specifies whether to place a hole on the bottom flange of the eaves beam, only applicable if an angle stiffener has not been used. | The default is set to None. |
