Additional bars above columns

Purpose and description

With this component you can create additional rebars over columns quickly and flexibly.

System requirements

This extension is only available to maintenance customers of BuildingPoint Schweiz AG.
You need Tekla Structures 2020 or later to use the extension.

Installation of Addition bars above columns

You can download the component from Tekla Warehouse.
After installation, you'll find the component in the Applications and Components sidebar:

Using additional bars above columns

Create

To create the additional reinforcement, first select a column (1), then the slab above it (2). Define the installation direction of the first bar (4) using two points.

The additional rebars is always placed centrally above the column and adjusts if you move the column, for example. In the dialog window, you can define the most common reinforcement properties separately for both bars.

Modify

You can change the properties either via the dialog box or within the component. This component recognizes changes made within the component. This means you can, for example, change the diameter, class, or other properties of the rebar in the properties bar. To do so, you must first enable "Select objects in components."

If you then double-click the component or click "Get" in the dialog box, the properties will be loaded correctly. Please note that this only applies to properties, not to geometric changes (e.g., bar length). Change geometric values using direct modification as described above. 

Known limitations

• The bars are always created horizontally, even if the slab is inclined.
