Rebend Connection with Couplers

Purpose and description

With this component you can create parametric rebarend connections with couplers and model them efficiently in walls, ceilings and other parts. Linear placement allows you to flexibly distribute the rebarend connections between the start and end points. By using manufacturer catalogs, the rebarend connections can be created both manufacturer-neutral and with specific products. Search the Tekla Warehouse for suitable catalogs:

System requirements

This extension is only available for maintenance customers of BuildingPoint Switzerland.
You need Tekla Structures 2021 or newer to use the extension.

Install Rebarend connection with couplers

You can download the Plugin from Tekla Warehouse.

After installation, you can find the plugin in the Applications and Components sidepanel:

Use Rebarend connection with couplers

Create

First open the dialog box (double-click or SHIFT+ double-click) and select the catalog or the required embed. You can see the currently selected embed by the information on the right "Selected type". Confirm the selection with "Apply":

Select an embed that matches phase 1 in the "Phase 2" tab. You will only see those embeds in phase 2 that match the type in phase 1.

Confirm the selection by clicking "Apply" before you place the embeds in the model.

If necessary, you can further filter the selection in the table using "Type". Detailed information on how to use the search dialog can be found in the following chapter.

If you have selected an embed with variable leg lengths, a list of the parameters appears above the table. You cannot exceed or fall below the minimum and maximum lengths defined in the catalog. The total length of the legs, if specified, is grayed out on the right:

In the "Properties" tab, you can customize the names and classes of the parts:

Search embed

Use "Search embed" to search the table to find the needed embed faster. The following syntax must be used:

Modify

By double-clicking on the component, the dialog box appears. You can adjust all settings, such as the selection of the embed. By changing the "Rotation", you can change the orientation of the rebarend connections. Use "Split-type" to define where the remaining length of the placment, where there is no more space for an embed, should be divided. For example, select "Justify" to divide the remaining length evenly between all the embeds:

You can flexibly change the placement by modifying the handles or dimensionlines of the start and end points, as you are used to with other Tekla Structures parts:

Known limitations

• Only one type of embed can be used per placement.
