An Extension for Tekla Structures that creates a Thermal Break Limited (TekTherm™) connection / plate. The component automatically takes the plate dimensions and holes of the plate it is fixing to. TekTherm™ structural thermal breaks are hign performance thermal insolators and can be supplied as cut pads, strips or in any other shape within the parameters of the material.

- It is important to realise that any modification of the parts to which this macro applies is likely to cause incorrect results in the model. This is because the items created by a macro are not redefined when changes are made to the previously selected members. If it is necessary to change any of the members upon which the macro is dependent then first delete all the parts created by the macro, make the required changes and finally re-apply the macro..
Installing the plugin
- Download and install the Thermal Break Limited plugin installer package from Tekla Warehouse. For more information see Downloading an application from Tekla Warehouse.

Properties
Use the Thermal Break Limited Properties panel to control how the connecting plates are defined within Tekla Structures.

| Thermal Break Type (AK200, AK300HT, AK-FR (A1 Fire Rated)) | This specifies the type of thermal break to be used for the connection. TekTherm™ AK200 is a medium-strength, low thermal conductivity structural thermal break material. TekTherm™ AK300HT is a high-strength, low thermal conductivity structural thermal break material. TekTherm™ AK-FR (A1 Fire Rated) is a high-performance A1 fire-rated structural thermal break material. | The default is set to AK200. | |
| Material | This is the material grade that will be used for the plates. The grade is dependant upon the Thermal Break Type selected. | The default is set to AK200. | |
