Points 1 to 11 shown in the dialog image are explained in the table below.
| Point Number | Description |
|---|---|
| 1 | This is the default file and configuration of the plugin. This file ships with the environment as well as the TSEP installer when downloaded from the Tekla Warehouse. |
| 2 | The symbol file name dropdown list provides a convenient way to select a symbol file for use. The dropdown automatically collects all symbol files from the Tekla configuration including firm folder setup. |
| 3 | The symbol index refers to the index of the symbol in a selected symbol file. The index number is shown in the symbol editor’s status bar at the bottom right. The default “Precast.sym” file includes a few predefined symbols to use. Users can add their own symbols to this or any other valid symbol file. |
| 4 | The symbol colour dropdown list includes all default Tekla Drawing colours. |
| 5 | The symbol size is the height of the symbol and measured in millimetres. So if a 5mm high symbol is required, key in 5. The symbol is automatically scaled by the view port scale. Functionality is the same as for the normal insert symbol usage. |
| 6 | The symbol offset is the gap between the symbol and panel measured in millimetres. As above, this value will be multiplied by the view port automatically. |
| 7 | As per normal Tekla plugin and custom component practise, this textbox is used by the user to save away any user or company standard for reuse. |
| 8 | The panel Attribute/Property textbox can be used to label the panel with one of three options.
The show label frame adds a frame around the label and weight of weight is checked. |
| 9 | This font dropdown list collects all font installed within windows for use in Tekla. If your company uses a special font such as “ISOCPEUR.TTF”, just install as per normal window method and the plugin will pick it up. |
| 10 | The font height in millimetres. If you want 3mm high text, key in 3. As per symbol height and offset, this value will automatically be scaled by the viewport scale. Like the normal Tekla text usage. |
| 11 | The font colours. The is the same dropdown colour list as in symbol colour and utilises all standard Tekla drawing colour available. |
