How do I clean recently used models or recently used model folders lists in the Open dialog box?

At some point you may need to clear the list of recently used models or the list of recently used model folders in the Open dialog box. For example, the lists may contain old/wrong paths:

You can do it using Windows Registry Editor:
- Close Tekla Structures.
- Open Windows Registry Editor.
- Navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Tekla\Structures\<version>\OptionMenu - Delete the following values:
- all of
DirectoryOptionMenu*- to clear last used folders list; - all of
ModelNameOptionMenu*- to clear last used models list.
- all of

Versions 2016 and newer
In versions 2016 and above editing the registry is no longer helping to clean the recent models list, but the following workaround can be used:- Go to your AppData folder C:\Users\<your_username>\AppData\Local\Trimble\TeklaStructures\2016\UI
- Open the recent.xml file in some text editor, for example in Notepad.
- Delete the entries to remove the models you don't want to see.
- Save the file.
