You can view, modify, and delete existing splice packages, and add new ones in Maintenance

1. Go to Maintenance > Inventory > Splice Packages.

   The Splice Package dialog box opens.

2. Do any of the following:

   To	Do this
   Add a new splice package	Click Add. The Splice Package - Add dialog box opens. Enter the required details and click Add.
   Add items to a splice package	Select the splice package that you want to modify. Click Details. The Splice Package # dialog box opens. Click Add. Go to the Add Stock tab to see a list of existing inventory pieces that you have. There may also be some drops available from your previous jobs. To add a drop from another job, select the drop from the Not Included list and click the arrow buttons to move it to the Included list. If the available inventory cannot satisfy the required length, click Add Unpurchased. Enter the lengths that you still need to purchase and then click Add. When you have added all the lengths that you need, click Add at the bottom of the Splice Package - Add Stock/Parts dialog box.
   Remove items from a splice package	Select the splice package that you want to modify. Click Details. Select the item that you want to remove from the splice package. Click Remove. Enter the quantity that you want to remove. Click OK.
   Replace an item with a substitute of the same length	Select the splice package that you want to modify. Click Details. Select the item that you want to replace. Click Swap Inventory. Select the item that you want to use. Click Swap.
   Send unpurchased lengths immediately into a requisition or purchase order	Select the splice package that you want to modify. Click Details. Select the item that you want to send. Click Send and select one of the following: To Requisition To Purchase order Select the requisition or purchase order, and then click OK. Enter the quantity that you want to send and then click OK.
   Add parts to the nesting	Select the splice package that you want to modify. Click Details. Click Add Parts. Add the required inventory pieces. Click Add at the bottom of the dialog box. OR Go to the Requisition # dialog box. Select the parts that you want to add. Right-click and select Add Selected to Splice Package.
   Remove parts from the nesting	Select the splice package that you want to modify. Click Details. Select the parts that you want to remove from the nesting. Click Remove Parts. Click Yes to confirm.
   Merge splice packages	Select the splice packages that you want to merge. Click Merge. Click Yes to confirm.
   Merge inventory items	Select the splice package that you want to modify. Click Details. Select the inventory items that you want to merge. Click Join to Result Length. The inventory items are merged into one long item.
   Split a package in two	Select the stock and parts to be split and move them to the Included list. Click Split.
   Delete a splice package	Select the splice package that you want to remove. Click Delete.
