Define hatches in drawings
You can use hatching on part faces, part sections or drawing shapes, such as circles and polygons, to show different materials. You can also use hatch patterns on surface treatment.
Hatch patterns are by default located in the hatch_types1.pat file in the …\Tekla Structures\<version>\environments\<common>\inp folder. For some environments, it is also located in ...\Tekla Structures\<version>\environments\<environment>\inp. In these environments, the XS_INP advanced option is used to define the folder from which this file is read. For example, in the US Imperial environment the following line exists in env_US_imperial.ini:
set
XS_INP=%XSDATADIR%\environments\usimp\inp\
The file can also be read from a firm
folder defined by XS_FIRM but the location defined
by XS_INP
takes priority, so a firm folder file will not be read if a file of the same name also
exists in the XS_INP
folder.
You can also add hatch patterns to Tekla Structures:
-
To add custom hatch patterns in the hatch_types1.pat file, see Create custom hatch patterns.
-
If you have a hatch pattern file (created in a CAD software, for example), you can add it to Tekla Structures .pat file with a little modification, see Adding custom fill patterns.
