Review sway check tabular results
Sway check results can be reviewed by creating a Sway tabular data view.
Sway tabular data views:
- can either be displayed in summary or detail:
- Summary Only (default) - the column/wall with most critical result for the selected combinations is reported for each direction at each level
- Detailed - the critical ratio in each direction at each level is reported for all columns/walls for the selected combinations
- are displayed for all columns /walls (default), but you can also select by material, characteristic and fabrication
- can have filters applied
- can be examined in more detail by clicking the Details... button at the end of each row
- are linked to the 3D view: double-clicking a row in the table locates the row entity in the 3D view
- can be exported to a spreadsheet
- are not suitable for direct printing, but the data can be included in a Building Analysis Checks report which can then be printed.

Understanding the Critical Sway Summary Only tabular results
The Critical Sway Review Summary Only data table reports by Level, so at each Level of the structure it shows the column and column stack which gives the worst αDir 1 at that Level and worst αDir 2 (usually a different column in a second row) at that Level. However, for each of the columns/stacks it reports α in both Dir 1 and Dir 2.
Thus in the example below, for the Level St. 11 column C32 has critical αDir 1 from stack 6 (α = 32.869) and column C43 has critical αDir 2 from stack 9 (α = 49.935) (but the αDir 1 and αDir 2 are shown for both of the columns).
