Search for content in Tekla Warehouse

In addition to browsing collections in Tekla Warehouse, you can find content by searching for content items.

You can search for content items by using any characters in their name, description, tags, or keywords.

You can also narrow down the search, for example, to a certain organization or according to your other preferences.

Tip:

When you find the content item you were searching for, you can right-click its name or thumbnail, and then select Open in new tab or Open in new window.

Start a search

Do one of the following:

From the Warehouse page, go to the Search page. Enter the search term in the Search... box, and press Enter or click .
The search results appear.
If you are on the Warehouse page, enter the search term in the Search... box, and press Enter or click .
You are taken to the Search page, and the search results appear.
If you are on an organization's page in Tekla Warehouse, click Search online content by <Organization> to limit the search to the online content published by the organization.
You are taken to the Search page, and an organization filter is activated. Enter the search term in the Search... box, and press Enter or click .

Fine-tune a search

You can use several options in the left side pane of the Search page to fine-tune a search, and to define how the search results are sorted and shown.


Option	Description
Show	Select what type of results you want to show in the search results. The options are: Content items: Select to show only content items in the search results. Collections: Select to show only collections in the search results. Organizations: Select to show only organizations in the search results.
Sort by	Use to sort the content items according to the selected order.
	Click to show the content items, collections, or organizations as a list.
	Click to show the content items, collections, or organizations as thumbnails.
Filter results	Narrow down the search to the selected Tekla Structures versions, item types, locations, languages, categories of use, or measurement units. To clear a filter, click X next to the filter.
Exclude	Click to select which Tekla Structures versions, item types, locations, languages, categories of use, and measurement units you want to exclude from the search results. Any filters that you select here are added to the Filter results section on a red background. To clear an exclusion filter, click X next to the filter.
Online content	Select this option to search results that are in online collections.
Offline content	Select this option to see search results that are in Tekla Structures collections and in local and network collections. This option is not available when you search for content by organization.

Depending on the type of the collection or the number of content items in the collection, the Sort by list, the and buttons, and a Search... box are also available on collection pages when you click More options. Use them for searching within the collection.

The Sort by list is also available on every content item page that has more than one version.

Search for new content

On the Tekla Warehouse front page, click the Newest uploads title.

You are taken to the Search page, and the Last created sorting order is activated.
Enter the search term in the Search... box and press Enter or click .
If needed, fine-tune the search further or sort the search results.

Search for popular content

On the Tekla Warehouse front page, click the Popular content title.

You are taken to the Search page, and the Most liked sorting order is activated.
Enter the search term in the Search... box and press Enter or click .
If needed, fine-tune the search further or sort the search results.
