About the Tekla Warehouse Service plugin

The Tekla Warehouse Service plugin is a tool on your computer that connects Tekla Structures to Tekla Warehouse.

You need the Tekla Warehouse Service plugin to:

  • Insert Tekla Warehouse content into a Tekla Structures model

  • Upload content from a Tekla Structures model to Tekla Warehouse.

If the Tekla Warehouse Service plugin is not running on your computer, you can download or upload content manually.

Install or update the Tekla Warehouse Service plugin

The Tekla Warehouse Service plugin is usually installed automatically with Tekla Structures and updated with new versions and service packs. If the latest Tekla Warehouse Service plugin version is not installed, you must manually download and install it.

  1. Download the latest version of the Tekla Warehouse plugin from Tekla Warehouse.
  2. Double-click the installation file to run the installation.
  3. Follow the steps in the installation wizard to complete the installation.

Troubleshooting the Tekla Warehouse Service plugin

If inserting Tekla Warehouse content into a Tekla Structures model or uploading content to Tekla Warehouse from a Tekla Structures model does not work as expected, try these solutions.

  • Ensure that the model is open in Tekla Structures and the Tekla Warehouse Service plugin is running on your computer.

  • If local network access has been blocked in your web browser, Tekla Warehouse Service plugin does not work. When prompted by the browser, allow local network access. Or, if the connection is already blocked, enable local network access through your browser settings.

  • If the Tekla Warehouse Service plugin is installed but is not running, restart the Tekla Warehouse service using the Services system tool in Windows.

  • If the Tekla Warehouse Service plugin is not installed, or an old version of the Tekla Warehouse Service plugin is installed, download and install the latest version of the Tekla Warehouse plugin from Tekla Warehouse.

  • If security settings in your web browser prevent the Tekla Warehouse Service plugin from working, add *.tekla.com to the trusted sites for the web browser.

  • The log files can be found in the following location: C:\TeklaWarehouseLogs with the version 2.0.45 and newer of the Tekla Warehouse Service plugin.
