Trimble Assistant for Tekla is an artificial intelligence (AI) chat service that provides support for Tekla products.

Trimble Assistant for Tekla has two chat assistants: User Assistant and Developer Assistant.

• The User Assistant provides support for Tekla Structures, Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Tedds, and Tekla PowerFab based on content in Trimble User Assistance.

  You can use the User Assistant in a web browser to get support for any Tekla product.

  If you use Tekla Structures, you can also use the User Assistant in the Trimble Assistant for Tekla side pane of the Tekla Structures application.

• The Developer Assistant helps with writing macros and modifying models using the Tekla Structures Open API.

  The Developer Assistant is available only in the Trimble Assistant for Tekla side pane of the Tekla Structures application.

In Tekla Structures 2025 SP5 and later, the Trimble Assistant for Tekla side pane is installed by default. In Tekla Structures 2025 SP4 or earlier, you can install the Trimble Assistant for Tekla extension in Tekla Structures to use the Trimble Assistant for Tekla side pane. You need a Trimble Identity to sign in to Trimble Assistant for Tekla. If you do not yet have a Trimble Identity, you must create one before you can use Trimble Assistant for Tekla.
