Introduction to the Management Console user interface

In the Management Console user interface, information about models and users is organized into tables.

With any table, including tables in dialog boxes, you can:

  • Filter and sort the table

  • Select which columns are visible in the table

  • Export data from the table.

Filter tables in the Management Console with basic filtering

Filtering tables helps you find the relevant models or users more quickly. Basic filtering lets you filter tables by search terms that you enter.

The Management Console searches for matches in all columns of the table. Only rows with matching data are shown.

To filter a table by a search term, enter the text in the Filter box.

Filter tables in the Management Console with advanced filtering

Advanced filtering lets you define precise filtering criteria to find the relevant models or users.

The filter only matches if all the specified filtering criteria matches. We recommend that you specify as few filtering criteria as possible to find the relevant data. Specifying too much filtering criteria can prevent the filter from finding any matches.

The match type options specify how the filtering criteria matches the data in the table. Some match types can only be used with specific types of data.

Match type Matches when

Contains

(Only text)

The data in the table contains the specified text.

Not contains

(Only text)

The data in the table does not contain the specified text.

Equals

The data in the table exactly matches the specified criteria.

Not equals

The data in the table does not match the specified criteria.

Greater than

(Only numbers and dates)

The value in the table is greater than the specified value.

The date in the table is after the specified date.

Greater than or equal

(Only numbers and dates)

The value in the table is greater than or equal to the specified value.

The date in the table is on or after the specified date.

Less than

(Only numbers and dates)

The value in the table is less than the specified value.

The date in the table is before the specified date.

Less than or equal

(Only numbers and dates)

The value in the table is less than or equal to the specified value.

The date in the table is on or before the specified date.

  1. Above any table, click the Advanced filtering button.
  2. Enter or select the filtering criteria.
    • To change how the filtering criteria matches the data in the table, select a different match type.
    • To match only text with the same capitalization as the filtering criteria, select Case sensitive.
    • To clear all filtering criteria, click Clear filter.
  3. To close the dialog box, click Close.

Only rows with matching data are shown. To show all rows, open advanced filtering again and clear the filter.

Sort tables by columns in the Management Console

You can sort any table in the Management Console according to the data in a column.

  1. To sort a table by a column, click the column heading.

The table is sorted according to the data in the column in ascending order.

  2. To reverse the sorting direction, click the column heading again.

Select which columns are visible in tables in the Management Console

By default, the most typically used columns are visible in tables in the Management Console. You can optionally change which columns are visible if you need to see other data.
  1. Above any table, click the column selection button.
  2. Select the columns that you want to show in the table.

Export data from the Management Console

You can export data from any table in the Management Console to use the data in another application.

This way of exporting data is not intended for managing users in shared models. To export users so that you can import them into another shared model, see Manage users in shared models in the Management Console.

  1. Above any table, click the export button .
  2. For tables other than the Models table, select the export format.

The available export formats depend on the type of table. In the Models table, only the CSV format is available.

The data is exported as a CSV file or in the format that you selected. The file is saved in the default download folder for your web browser.
