Stanchions - Railings - Kick plates (S86)

Stanchions - Railings - Kick plates (S86) uses three other components, Stanchions (S76), Railings (S77), and Kickplate (S75) to create the stanchions, railings, a grab rail, and a kick plate. The component can also create only the railings and kick plates if the stanchions already exist.

Use for

Situation Description

Stanchions, railings, and kick plate are created.

Before you start

Create stringers using the Stairs (S71) component, for example.

Selection order

  1. Pick the start point for the railing.

  2. Pick the end point for the railing.

  3. Select the first stair stringer.

    Select only one stringer, and ignore the other, if the stringers are part of a stair component and if the Stair parts selection setting in the stanchion component is set to Use all.

  4. Select the first stanchion if stanchions exist.

  5. Select the second stanchion.

    Ignore the other stanchions, if the stanchions are part of a stanchion component and if the Stanchion selection setting in the railings and in the kick plate component is set to Use all.

Note:

If you modify the Stanchions - Railings - Kick plates (S86) component, all connected components will be deleted.

Use the Parts tab to select the components that are used for creating the stanchions, railings, and kick plates.

Select the component and a suitable attribute file.

The default component is Railings (S77).

Select the component and a suitable attribute file.

The default component is Kickplate (S75).

Use the Parameters tab to define whether stanchions, railings, grab rail, and kick plate are created.
