Manage access and roles in collections
You can manage access to collections and change user roles within the collection in the online AI Cloud Fabrication drawings Management Console.
In the Management Console, only administrators and collection editors can give access to a collection, or change a user's role in a collection. Additionally, the administrators can see all users that have access to all collections owned by your company account.
The access to collections is based on an invitation system. In the console, administrators and collection editors can invite either their entire company account or individual users, both internal and external. Everyone invited to a collection has either an editor role or a viewer role.
When using the AI Cloud Fabrication drawings feature in Tekla Structures, editors have access to all functionalities and can invite others to join a collection. Viewers are limited to creating drawings from collections.
Roles inside a collection
Users of collections can be divided into two groups: editors and viewers. Editors have full access to all functionalities within a collection. Viewers are limited to actions related to creation of drawings, but are not allowed to edit the content of collections. If users of a collection are external to the company account owning a collection, they cannot change the access or roles within a collection, even if given editor roles.
Roles inside collections can be changed in the Management Console.
For details about the tasks that the different roles are able to perform in Tekla Structures and in the Management Console, see the comparison tables in the “Role capabilities" section below.

Administrators are also able to make collections Public so that anyone using a certain role or environment can access a collection.
