Use Tekla Structures on different computers

Your Tekla Structures subscription is connected to your Trimble Identity, not to a specific computer. You can sign in to your Trimble Identity to use Tekla Structures on any computer, but you can only use it on one computer at a time.

Note: If you have a Tekla Structures trial subscription, you can only use Tekla Structures on the computer where you activated the subscription.

If your Tekla Structures subscription license is reserved on the computer where you are currently using Tekla Structures, you must release your subscription license before you can use Tekla Structures on a different computer.

If you frequently use Tekla Structures on different computers, we recommend that you set the value of the XS_DEFAULT_KEEP_ONLINE_LICENSE_CHECKBOX advanced option to FALSE so that your subscription license is not automatically kept reserved when you close Tekla Structures.

Release your Tekla Structures subscription license

To use Tekla Structures on a different computer, release your subscription license on the computer where it is currently reserved.

Note: If you use more than one version of Tekla Structures, you must release your subscription license in all versions where it is reserved.

Start Tekla Structures, then open a model.
Close Tekla Structures and clear the Yes, keep the license checkbox in the closing confirmation message dialog box.

You can now start Tekla Structures on a different computer.
