Launch Trimble Connect in Tekla Structures

You can launch Trimble Connect in multiple ways in Tekla Structures.

To launch Trimble Connect, go to the Trimble Connect ribbon tab and select either

For Browser: A browser solution tool for collaboration, administration, 2D and 3D viewing capabilities.

OR
For Windows: A desktop tool for construction project collaboration with the highest 3D graphics performance for the largest models.


Click this	This is what happens
For Browser	If you have linked the Tekla Structures model to a Trimble Connect project, the project Explorer page opens in Trimble Connect for Browser. You can see the details of the linked project, and manage your data and attached files stored in the project. If you have not linked the Tekla Structures model to a project, the Select project dialog opens whenever you click For Browser, or any of the menu options underneath it. For Browser > Project explorer	The project Explorer page opens in Trimble Connect for Browser. You can then manage your data stored in the Trimble Connect project.
For Browser > 3D view	The 3D model view opens in Trimble Connect for Browser 3D viewer. You can adjust how 3D models in the project are shown, select objects, and add BCF topics, views, markups, clip planes, and measurements.
For Windows	If you have linked the Tekla Structures model to a Trimble Connect project, the project detail view opens in the Trimble Connect for Windows application. You can see the details of the linked project. You can also add, upload, and download files and open the 3D view of the project. If you have not linked the Tekla Structures model to a project, the projects view opens in the Trimble Connect for Windows application. You can see a list of your projects. You can open any project, add new projects, or sort and search for projects.
