Offshore Z (192)

Offshore Z (192) creates welds and cuts to connect consecutive beams or built-up plate girders that are directly in line with each other.

Use for

Situation Description

Beam to beam welded splice, Z-shaped cut.

The beams are in line and have the same profile type and size.

Beam to beam welded splice, Z-shaped square cut.

Selection order

  1. Select the main part.

  2. Select the first secondary part.

  3. Select the next secondary parts.

    You can select a maximum of five secondary parts.

  4. Click the middle mouse button to create the connection.

For plate girders, the selection is done from flange to flange, followed by web to web, and flange to flange.

Use the Picture tab to control the connection geometry.

Beam depth/2, the splice is exactly in the middle of the beam.
