To illustrate
the shape and dimensions of a profile you have created, you can create an image of it. Tekla Structures shows the image when you browse for profiles in the profile
catalog.
The image must be in Windows bitmap
(.bmp) format and can be created with any bitmap editor, such
as Microsoft Paint.
-
Take a
screenshot of the profile that you have drawn or sketched.
For
example, press the Print Screen (Prt
Scr) key to take a screenshot of your entire desktop. To take a
screenshot of an active window, press Alt+Print
Screen. The screenshot is placed on the clipboard.
-
Open the
screenshot in a bitmap editor and modify the image if necessary.
-
Save the
image in .bmp format in the
..\ProgramData\Trimble\Tekla
Structures\<version>\Bitmaps folder.
For more information about
the locations of the \bitmaps folders,
see DAK_BMPPATH.
The
file name must match the profile name. For example, if the name of a fixed
profile or a sketched
profile is mysketch, the image must be named
mysketch.bmp.
If the profile has
been created using a .clb file, the name of the image file must also
include the library ID that has been used for the profile in the .clb file and in the profitab.inp file. For example, if the library ID is BuiltUps
and the cross section name is BOXISMC
, name the
image file BuiltUps.BOXISMC.bmp.
Note that the profile names,
cross section names, and library IDs are case sensitive.
-
Restart
Tekla Structures.
The image is now shown in the profile catalog.
