Steel design to AISC 360/341 2022
Tekla Structural Designer 2025 Service Pack 2 and later incorporate the latest AISC 360-22 and AISC 341-22 requirements.

This enables the design of rolled steel non-composite and composite members, plated members and base plates to the most up-to-date US Steel Design Standards, both non-seismic and seismic.
For AISC 360-22, a number of changes have been made, the main ones to be aware of are an additional slenderness check in Axial Compression, and terminology changes for critical stress.
For AISC 341-22, the changes include:

Updated seismic classification of sections in accordance with tables D1.1a and D1.1b.

Revised beam stability brace maximum spacing limits in accordance with D1.2a.1(c) and D1.2b.

A new functionality to allow for the brace 'end to end' length when determining forces imparted to beams in SCBF at the coincident point of V and A braces, in accordance with the user note in F2.3. Note that currently the ‘end to end’ length of braces cannot be applied to the remote ends of V and A braces or other SCBF bracing systems e.g. diagonal or X bracing arrangements.
