Run Analyze All (Static)

Static designs can only be performed provided suitable analysis results exist - while these results are created when you run a combined analysis and member design, in some situations you may prefer to run the analysis separately and then selectively design parts of the model as required.

The Analyze All (Static) process facilitates this as it performs all the analyses for static loadcases and active static load combinations that are required to enable the selective designs to be carried out.

As indicated in the table below, the analyses included in the process vary according to the model content and the options specified on the Analysis page of Design Settings.

Analysis type

Included in Analyze All (Static)?
1st order 3D analysis

(linear or non-linear)*

Always included
2nd order analysis

(linear or non-linear)*

Included if second-order analysis has been specified on the Analysis page of Design Settings
Grillage chasedown Included if one or more concrete members exist
FE chasedown Included if two-way spanning slabs exist

1st order staged construction analysis (linear or non-linear)*

or

2nd order staged construction analysis (linear or non-linear)*

According to if ‘First-order’ or ‘Second-order’ analysis and ‘Include staged construction analysis’ have been specified on the Analysis page of Design Settings

If ‘Include staged construction analysis’ have been specified on the Analysis page of Design Settings this will be included (as 1st or 2nd order according to the 'Analysis' setting on the same page.)

* If the model contains non-linear elements the analysis will be non-linear, otherwise it will be linear

To run Analyze All (Static):

  1. Open the Process window.
(This step is optional but can provide feedback on the analyses as they are performed.)
  2. On the Analyze ribbon, click Analyze All (Static).

At the end of the analyses if a 2D or 3D view is active it is switched to a Results View.
