References settings
The References page and its subpages allow you to adjust different object reference settings
- in the current project - when accessed by clicking
- in new projects - when accessed by clicking
General

Initial value in levels |
Allows you to specify the start number (such as 1, 100, 1000) at each construction level for object references that contain the Count item. |

Renumbering Direction |
Allows you to specify renumbering directions that control how the member numbering is applied when you use the Renumber command. |
| Renumber user names |
If you have applied user names in order to override the default names assigned to members; when you use the Renumber command the user names will be retained unless you select this option. |
| Grid line and grid point naming | |

Ignore letters I & O |
Allows you to ignore the letters I and O in grid line names. |

Allows you to specify the initial number applied to the first grid lines. |

Naming style list |
Allows you to select a desired naming style for grid lines. |

Grid point naming style list |
Allows you to select a desired naming style for grid points. This directly impacts the Start Point Reference [P1] and End Point Reference [P2] formats typically used for steel member referencing. Note that if the Dir 1/Dir 2 style is selected, the grid line aligned closest to building direction 1 will come first; if the Dir 2/Dir 1 style is selected, the grid line aligned closest to building direction 2 will come first. |
Groups

Sub-group Name |
Allows you to specify the text used to designate the group labelling. This text forms the stem of the Design Group and Detailing Group names that are displayed on the Groups tab of the Project Workspace. These names are shown in the output reports and drawings when grouped design has been applied. |
