Import Semantic Model dialog

The Import Semantic Model dialog, which is accessible from the Reference Models pane, is used to import models from Tekla Structures to Tekla Structural Designer.

To open the Import Semantic Model dialog:

Open the Reference Models pane.
Right-click on the reference model name in the dialog that you want to import.
Select Import Semantic Model from the context menu.

The dialog has four pages as described below:

Part Names

This page lists any Tekla Structures part names that exist in the reference model.

By default all of the parts will be imported, mapped to the TSD Characteristic shown. You can select a different TSD Characteristic if the default is unknown or incorrect and you can also choose not to import specific parts if required.

Materials

You use this page to map the Tekla Structures materials to their Tekla Structural Designer equivalents.

Profiles

You use this page to map the Tekla Structures profiles to their Tekla Structural Designer section equivalents. You can choose not to import specific profiles if required.

Planes

You use this page to map the Tekla Structures levels to their Tekla Structural Designer equivalents. You can choose not to import specific planes if required.
