Define portal frame members

You can define rafter, column, tie and parapet sections from the respective pages on the Portal Frame dialog box.

Define rafter sections

  1. Select the Rafters page.
  2. For any rafter select its Section, Grade and Capacity. You can also click Copy... to copy the details for one rafter to any other rafters in the frame.

Define column sections

  1. Select the Columns page.
  2. For any rafter select its Section, Grade and Capacity. You can also click Copy... to copy the details for one column to any other columns in the frame.

Define tie sections

  1. Select the Tie Members page.
    Note: If your frame has no ties the Ties page will be empty.
  2. For any tie select its Section, Grade and Capacity. You can also click Copy... to copy the details for one tie to any other ties in the frame.

Define parapet sections

  1. Select the Parapet Members page.
    Note: If your frame has no parapets the Parapets page will be empty.
  2. For any parapet select its Section, Grade and Capacity. You can also click Copy... to copy the details for one parapet to any other parapets in the frame.
