Create Westok cellular or Westok plated beams

You can create Westok Cellular and Westok Plated beams which can be designed directly in Tekla Structural Designer. Once created, Westok Cellular beams can also be exported to and then re-imported from Westok's proprietary Cellbeam software.

To create a Westok Cellular or Westok Plated beam:

On the Model tab, click the arrow next to Steel Beam.
In the list, select the Westok Cellular or Westok Plated beam type as required.

The beam adopts the properties that are currently displayed in the Properties window.
In the Properties window adjust the properties according to your needs.
Click the start point of the beam.
Tip: If you are using a point along a member, do the following:
1. Click the member to view its points.
2. Click the point that you want to use, or type the distance from the start of the member to the desired point.
Click the end point of the beam.
Tip: If Tekla Structural Designer prompts you to pick another point, do one of the following:
- Click the end point again.
- Press Esc.
Tekla Structural Designer creates the beam.
