You can create openings for both doors
and windows in existing walls.
Restriction:
- Openings are only active in meshed walls.
- Circular openings are not permitted.

Open a frame view of the frame
that includes the desired meshed wall.

On the
Model tab, click
Wall Opening.

Do one of the following:
- To define the opening relative to the bottom left corner of the wall, click the outline of an existing wall panel.
- To define the opening relative to the selected node, click a specific node in the model.

Click the first corner of the opening or press
F2 to define its exact position.

Drag the mouse pointer to the opposite corner of the opening.

Click the opposite corner of the opening or press
F2 to define its exact position.
Tekla Structural Designer creates the opening.
To investigate design solutions around openings you can use result lines (for concrete panels), or wall patches (for masonry walls).
