Move and rotate objects

To move, or move and rotate objects, see the following instructions.

  1. Select the objects that you want to move.
  2. On the Edit tab, click Move.
  3. If you want to rotate the object while moving it, in the Properties window, type the rotation about the Z axis.
  4. Click the reference node.
  5. Pick the new position.
    The Pick New Position tooltip will list the position options available at the current cursor position. If multiple options are available press the UP/DOWN cursor keys to cycle through the options. Typical options are:
    • CP - maps the reference node to the Construction Point at the co-ordinate indicated.

    • Distance - maps the reference node to the distance indicated.

      To adjust the distance, press F2 then enter the distance to move Along the object, or press TAB and then enter the required distance From End of the object.

    • Inters - maps the reference node to the grid line intersection at the co-ordinate indicated.

    • Offset - maps the reference node to the X, Y, Z offsets indicated.

      To adjust the offset, press F2 then enter the required Offset X, Offset Y and Offset Z. Press TAB to move between the fields.

    In accordance with the chosen option, the selected objects are moved to the new location.
