Column splice drawings are general arrangement drawings that also contain applied loads for the selected loadcase. Column splice drawings are typically created to assist connection design in steel structures. To create column splice load drawings, do the following:

Column splice loads are not relevant in concrete structures, and therefore, they are not displayed for concrete beams.

Open a frame view containing the steel frame for which you want to see the column splice loads.

On the
Status bar, click
Results View.

On the Results tab; in the Result Type group, use the Method list to select
the analysis type for which the results are to be included on the drawing.

In the
Loading list, select the loadcase or combination that you want to display.

On the Draw tab, click Column Splice Loads.
Tip:
If the Column Splice Loads command is not active, ensure that the current view is displayed in
2D.
The DXF Export Preferences dialog box opens.

Select the layer configuration and layer style for the drawing.

Set the drawing scale.

If necessary, to adjust the distance between independent lines of text, modify the minimum text block spacing.

Do one of the following:
- Accept the automatic file name.
- Clear the
Use automatic file name option and name the file yourself.

Click
OK.
The drawing opens in an available DXF application.
Note: If preferred this drawing variant can be
created as a batch, (allowing multiple drawings to be
created on a single drawing sheet).
