Share detailing guidelines

For firm type Detailer, you can share the shapes, grades, and sizes, finishes, and ABM settings with this company. This is to ensure that the detailer can use your settings for the submittal process.

Before you start:

Ensure the accuracy your shapes, grades, and sizes, and remove any unnecessary or incorrect items in Maintenance > Shapes/Grades/Sizes. See Material database.
Ensure the accuracy of your material finish options in Maintenance > Production Control > Finish Maintenance and remove any unnecessary or incorrect items. See Manage material finish options.
Ensure that you have the relevant automated events enabled in Maintenance > Automated Events. See Use Automated Events for Tekla Structures Connector.

Go to Maintenance > Address Book.
On the General tab, select the detailer.
In Info Sharing, select the information types that you want to share with the detailer.

For more information, see Add companies to the address book.
On the Contacts tab, ensure the following:
- You have a named detailer contact with an e-mail address.
- Exclude From Info Sharing is not selected for this contact.

When the info sharing is done, the detailer can select your company as the fabricator and use your settings in Tekla Structures.
