Manage top text items for purchase orders

Top text items are pieces of text that can be added at the top of purchase orders. In the Purchase Order Top Text Maintenance dialog, you can add new top text items, or modify and delete existing top text items.

The top text items created in the Purchase Order Top Text Maintenance can be set as default options that are added for all next purchase orders. For more information, see Define company standard settings for purchase orders.

Create a top text item

  1. Go to Maintenance > Purchase Orders > Top Text Maintenance.

    The Purchase Order Top Text Maintenance dialog opens.

  2. Click New.
  3. In the Description field, type a name for the top text item.
  4. In the Top Text field, type the information to be added at the top of purchase orders.
  5. Click Add.

Modify a top text item

  1. Go to Maintenance > Purchase Orders > Top Text Maintenance.

    The Purchase Order Top Text Maintenance dialog opens.

  2. Select the top text item that you want to modify.
  3. In the Description field, modify the item name.
  4. In the Top Text field, modify the top text.
  5. To save you changes, click Edit.

Delete a top text item

  1. Go to Maintenance > Purchase Orders > Top Text Maintenance.

    The Purchase Order Top Text Maintenance dialog opens.

  2. Select the top text item that you want to delete.
  3. Click Delete.

    You are prompted to confirm the deletion.

  4. To permanently delete the top text item, click Yes.
